A Unified Digital Base
As AI Agents begin to take over global supply chains, traffic scheduling, and energy distribution, we no longer need hundreds of isolated small systems, but an operating system kernel with Planetary Scale coordination capabilities.
The ultimate goal of AIOS is to become the base that drives the operation of the Earth.
Three Characteristics of a Planetary-Scale System
- Distributed Fault-Tolerant Kernel: This kernel does not run on any single server or within any single nation but is distributed across hundreds of millions of computing nodes worldwide via P2P technology. Even if internet connection is lost in some continents, the system kernel can still maintain the micro-operation of critical global infrastructure.
- Instant Cross-Language Intent Alignment: Through kernel-level semantic compression protocols, human intents from different languages and cultural backgrounds can be precisely converted and coordinated within milliseconds, achieving a true “global family.”
- Unified Drivers for Physical Entities: Whether it’s an autonomous miner in the deep sea or a solar drone in the stratosphere, all run under the same standardized set of AIOS driver interfaces.
Responsibility at the Civilization Level
The birth of a planetary operating system means that human society is shifting from “disordered gaming” to “algorithm-assisted symbiosis.” This requires the kernel to possess absolute political neutrality and algorithmic transparency. It will no longer be a commercial product but a civilization-level public infrastructure like the atmosphere.

Nodes on the shell represent distributed compute units worldwide, with countless intent flow lines weaving through the grid, demonstrating a unified and dynamically pulsating global digital life support system.
